Panama City Writers Association (PCWA) is located in Bay County, Florida, on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. We are a successor interest group that meets informally, welcoming people of all ages and writing interests. Our purpose is to provide education, networking, and growth to our members and community.
PCWA is dedicated to promoting fellowship among novice and published writers in all genres and related fields. We strive to encourage and inspire local writers and to provide a venue for sharing writing knowledge and experience. PCWA focuses on helping each other through encouragement and constructive critiques. Visitors and new members are always welcome. We hope you will join us.
We meet at 6:30 PM on the first and third Tuesday of each month.
Please note: We are no longer meeting in the St. Andrew Civic Club.
The new meeting place for the PCWA is the offices of Ameriprise Financial, 700 West 23rd Street, Suite #29d, Panama City, FL 32405.
Ameriprise is located in the office park adjacent to the 23rd Street plaza that contains the Publix grocery, Applebees, Newks, etc. There is a stoplight at the intersection of 23rd Street and the 23rd Street Plaza road. Once you are on 23rd Street Plaza road, go north. You have to turn off of 23rd Street Plaza, go to the last row of office buildings, turn left, and Ameriprise is on your immediate left.
Construction is currently blocking the entrance on 23rd Street Plaza road, so you may need to take the main entrance to the plaza beside the Wendy’s restaurant. After you enter the plaza, turn left, and then right at Newks restaurant onto the 23rd Street Plaza road.
If you would like to join our email list to receive reminders of the meetings and news about writing events, contests, classes, etc., please email Mark at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.
